Underneath

Underneath, Worm Sculpture from Recycled Bicycle Tires

A giant worm breaks through the surface. Some of it is visible, and the rest disappears below, into the space the viewer fills in.

Underneath is about what happens out of sight. It can be the first spark of a crazy idea, quietly digging its way through the mind before it surfaces. Or it can be the opposite: something that eats away at a person from the inside, mostly unseen. What shows above ground is only part of the story.
