Hands behind the tools
I'm a PhD chemist, a full-time employee, and a dad of two, husband. My days are structured and full of responsibilities, so I needed something different, something hands-on.
I started collecting discarded tires and cardboard, just to see what I could make. That turned into a habit, then into sculptures, animals and forms made from trash.
I work in a small basement room, usually late at night. It’s quiet, messy, and grounding. This is how I reset.
Right now, it’s a personal ritual. But I’m starting to think bigger, more pieces, larger works, maybe even public installations and some sales.
For now, it’s just me, working with what others throw away, turning it into something worth noticing.
